Appleby Castle

Built at the beginning of the 12th century and situated just a few miles from the Lake District, Appleby Castle has been owned by Kings of England and Scotland throughout its rich history, with its grand motte and bailey structure housing one of the last remaining intact Norman keeps. Marvel at the medieval beauty of the castle on a tour of the hotel, climbing the enchanting staircase to the top of the round tower, delving deep into the dungeon and wandering through the huge halls, medieval chapel and kitchen and take in the historic charm of Appleby Castle.

Where will we stay?

Depending on the number of people you wish to book for, you will be allocated a room that allows for this many people. Rooms for two include Sackville, Atkinson and De Morville, and rooms for four include Le Meschin and Tufton. If you choose to upgrade to a superior suite, then you will be able to stay in either Russel, Vipont, Thanet, Tufton, Hothfield or Nightingale Cottage.
