If you can bear to tear yourselves away from the comfort of your stay, you’ll find plenty of fun activities to enjoy in Boat of Garten, a small but mighty village nestled in the Highlands. Bird watchers can enjoy a trip to the RSPB Loch Garten Nature Centre, the perfect place to watch for wildlife, enjoy a picnic and stroll around the scenic setting. Or, head to the community garden, with mountain views and plenty of flora and fauna to enjoy. Art aficionados can take a trip to the 1896 Gallery, showcasing original landscape art and photography and then head into the Cairngorms and create your own! With breathtaking valleys, the rushing River Spey, majestic mountains and plenty of trails to explore by foot or bicycle. Enjoy fishing in the Spey, tee off at the local 18-hole golf course and, if you fancy sightseeing in style, why not travel on the Steam Railway? Head to the Boat of Garten Railway Station and step back in time as you discover the spellbinding scenery as you head into Aviemore - and you can even enjoy a light lunch or afternoon tea aboard! In Aviemore, enjoy pony trekking, hiking Cairngorm Mountain and meet the delightful creatures at the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre.
