Introduction to swimming classes

Swimming classes for babies, toddlers, and school aged children which are designed to build water confidence and teach essential water safety skills at every stage. Starting with the Starfish Awards for babies, little ones are introduced to the water through fun activities, including games and nursery rhymes, while learning vital skills such as holding on and swimming back to the side. As children grow, these swim classes progress to the STA Stanley Awards, where toddlers and pre-schoolers focus on developing skills like floating, treading water and mastering basic strokes. Both classes emphasise repetition, patience, and plenty of fun, ensuring every child progresses at their own pace, gaining the confidence and abilities they need to swim independently. Once children are able to swim confidently by themselves classes focus on Stroke technique and improving stamina.
