With today’s deal, you can leave the concrete jungle behind for the real thing on a six-night journey to Machu Picchu along the Inca Trail, including all transfers, tours and selected meals. You’ll be accompanied by an English-speaking tour guide throughout your trip, during which you’ll be comfortably accommodated in 3* hotels for three nights in Cusco. The remaining four nights will be spent on the trek, where you’ll be camping in spacious tents on inflatable mattresses, with porters to carry all cooking and camping equipment, along with an experienced chef who will whip up delicious meals (daily breakfast, lunch and dinner plus snacks) during your journey.
Your seven-day itinerary is as follows:
DAY ONE: Cusco, Inca Museum & Koricancha
- Transfer from airport to hotel.
- Visit the Inca Museum and temple of Koricancha.
- Overnight stay in Cusco at the 3*

DAY TWO: Explore Cusco
-Use this free day to discover the old capital of the Inca Empire, visiting the colonial churches and wandering the many parks and squares.
- Soak up the atmosphere in the many artisan stores, or relax and enjoy delicious cuisine in a local restaurant.
DAY THREE: 12km Trek from Piscacucho to Wayllabamba
- A relatively easy-going and smooth walk along the ancestral roadway, where you'll have a chance to visit the ruins of the city of Patallacta, once an important centre of Incan economy and religion. Above this site, you can visit Willkarakay, a military post, before entering the valley of Wayllabamba, and walking the banks of the Cusichaca River, before camping overnight.
DAY FOUR: 11kn Trek from Wayllabamba to Pacaymayu
- After an early start, you'll reach the highest point of the Inca trail, the Warmihuañusca mountain pass. Stay overnight in Pacaymayu.
DAY FIVE: 15km Trek from Pacaymayu to Winayhuayna
- Ascend to the archaeological site of Runkurakay, an ancient resting place, before continuing the climb to the Runkurakay pass, the second highest point of the trail, before descending to the beautiful Sayacmarca site, then continuing down to lunch at Chaquicocha. From there you will enter the cloud forest at Phuyupatamarca, where you can view your final destination of Machu Picchu. Stop and camp overnight at Winayhuayna.
DAY SIX: 5km Trek from Winayhuayna to Machu Picchu
- Rise early for the final stretch of the trek, an easy walk with a chance to view the Andean sunrise, before reaching the Inti Punku (Sun Gate and entrance to Machu Picchu, the last dwelling of the Incas). You'll climb to the higher area of Machu Picchu, before enjoying a two hour tour, followed by a chance to climb the Huayna Picchu Mountain (at extra cost, booked in advance). Enjoy lunch in Aguas Calientes, before returning to Cusco by train.

DAY SEVEN: Optional Walking Tour
- Spend the morning relaxing, or choose to take part in a walking tour, visiting the Plaza de Armas, Plaza Nazarenas, San Blas neighbourhood and San Pedro local market.
- Transfer to airport.
